Spring has arrived at Port Lincoln, and so has the 3rd egg. At 5:29 it arrived
After a bit of delayed incubation (by Mum, Dad just wanted to be on the egg when possible), right on cue, as Mum is very consistent in her egg timing, Mum laid the second egg of this season.
After a few weeks of mating and getting the nest ready, the first egg is finally here. Just like last year a few weeks later then was usual before.
If all goes well the second egg should be here in the morning of 29 August.
That the fish light is working for the night herons is obvious.. but the target was if we could see more diving and catching from the osprey..
Mum shows that is the case! Think this is the first time we see Mum diving and catching a fish. (also in slow-mo)
Giliath (205 days old) has been spotted several times along the foreshore in Port Lincoln. Guests staying at Bay 10 Apartments would have had great views of him in this Pine Tree at the front of the Apartments.
Today Mr. Puffer, who had been with us since 20 februari when bradley lost it on the deck , was kicked off the deck when the ff crew came in to clean the barge a bit before winter
The past week Bradley was diving from the barge 3 times in a row (some close-ups and slow-mo's)
But next to that he brought in a floppy fish.. and a Puffer!!
Giliath hasn't been on the barge for a few days now (last seen on the 13th at 12:14).. but he's still in the area.. this is his tracker info from 15 February 6::30
Bradley takes a dive and we see him catch a fish, sadly he lost it a second later
