09:23 |
Livia Armstrong |
But the other two Forest, male and Marlow, female are looking great. Harry is a reliable dad. Heβs usually brought fish by now so hopefully there will be one soon. He sometimes brings flatfish |
09:24 |

Iβm away for a bit, grateful for any ts especially fish, ππ |

09:32 Flora to nest calling. Morning Kate, Patrick and BFN Ruth |
09:34 |
Marta |
In Cabrera, Spain, two chicks were born, and the older one wouldn't let the younger one eat and died. The father brought home a small fish every day. |
09:35 |
Janet Abraham |
Have we incoming? |
09:35 |
Livia Armstrong |
09:34 intruder around as Flora is mangling. Oh that is sad Marta |
09:35 |
Marta |
After that, the mother disappeared, and the chick had to be rescued. Today, it flies free. |
09:35 |
James Thompson |
Intruder fly-by |
09:36 |
Livia Armstrong |
Iβm glad the chick was rescued there. Sadly wasnβt an option here as the nest is 25m high and the only person able to access the nest was 500 miles away |
09:36 |
kate |
Just a thought oops Flora just arrived 09.32.25 as I was saying wonder if Oakleys tag will ever be discovered, Bless him |
09:37 |
James Thompson |
Is that the one that was rescued Marta, and the dad turned up the next day with a fish? I watched the rescue boat sailing over to get it, if its the same one? |
09:38 |
kate |
09.34.29 Flora going mad at intruder |
09:38 |
Livia Armstrong |
This nest wasnβt constructed in 2014 as a replacement for electricity pylons where they chose to nest before. The pylons were being replaced so artificial pole had to be high enough be to attractive |
09:38 |
Marta |
Yes he was @James Thompson |
09:39 |
Janet Abraham |
@kate I wonder that too |
09:39 |
Marta |
I cry when one of the chicks die I know it's nature... but.... |
09:39 |
Scirocco67 |
9.38 intruder unringed |
09:40 |
James Thompson |
I had seen that he was placed in a rescue/aviary on IV fluids and a gastric tube. So, he has survived then @Marta? And is being released today? |
09:40 |
Livia Armstrong |
Was* constructed in 2014 sorry. |
09:44 |
Marta |
@James Thompson 1V2 Brunet was transferred to the peninsula and thanks to the cares he flies happily. |
09:44 |
James Thompson |
That's great news @Marta, thanks for the update! |

Hi Vee good to see you |
09:53 |
Vee Robson |
I have just wrote the same thing S67 but slow mode wouldn't allow it. |
09:53 |
Scirocco67 |
Yes I donβt understand that, never met it before |
09:55 |
Vee Robson |
Me either. I hope all is good with you and the job. The weather will suit you too all sunshine. |
09:56 |
Scirocco67 |
I am one of the few who have been enjoying the warmth, it will be cold and dark again soon enough, hope Steve has been passing on my best wishes |
09:57 |
Vee Robson |
Yes, He did. And thank you. |
09:58 |
Scirocco67 |
No worries, hope all well with you and yours |
09:59 |
Vee Robson |
Been a bit iffy but all good now. I am trying to see what fish Harry brought in. Any ideas? |
09:59 |
Janet Abraham |
A doomed oneπ’ |
10:00 |
Vee Robson |
It went to a good place though Jan. |
10:01 |
Scirocco67 |
Looked a bit flat to me, I am new to here so donβt know what comes in. Good morning Janet |
10:02 |
Vee Robson |
Maybe a flounder? |
10:02 |
Janet Abraham |
It did, Vee. Well thatβs it from me for another day, happy watching everyone, and many fishes. Hi S67. |
10:03 |
Scirocco67 |
Skin is tough perhaps a Flounder, I tried sending same time as you but slow mode said no |
10:03 |
Val Gall |
Yes looks like a flattie |
10:04 |
Vee Robson |
Yes, Slow Mode is unforgiving. |
10:04 |
Livia Armstrong |
Slow mode has been a frustration since camera came back sadly. Harry often brings flounders. Noticed it coincided with low tide at Tay Estuary, so itβs approx a 30 mile round trip for him |
10:04 |
Patrick Mc Phail |
nice to see my fish π dancing πΊ skills being put to good use π |
10:05 |

They are highly nutritional and great for neck muscle workouts. |
10:07 |
Livia Armstrong |
Wonderful dancing as usual Patrick well done. Yes, often think the chicks have a good head start here when they have to self feed with flounders. Good practice as well |
10:08 |
Scirocco67 |
Probably good for the digestion too as speed eating is difficultπ |
10:08 |
Patrick Mc Phail |
thanks Vee and Livia! For a moment I thought you meant the fish dancing πΊ π€£ |
10:10 |
Livia Armstrong |
That too Scirocco67 π Patrick, your dancing never fails. Never change π₯π₯π |
10:13 |

π True S67. Patrick that would be a sight to see a flattie twerking. |
10:14 |

Have you seen Vee, there are 2 Osprey chicks in Norfolk at Ranworth Broad? |
10:15 |
Vee Robson |
Yes, I am over the moon for you, history in the making. Fantastic! |
10:16 |
Scirocco67 |
I have been up to see, just before they hatched, will go again once summer holidays are over, itβs a lovely spot |
10:17 |

Hi Kristy Patrick Knunn and Ruth ..... I've just noticed I forgot to mention earlier, that the intruding Osprey wasn't ringed |
18:11 |
Paul & Ruth Boughton |
Thank you Zara, got a couple of screenshots which I have posted on Friends., and the Alyth document. Wonder if is a returning Alyth youngster. |
18:32 |
Zara |
Could quite likely be Ruth, my gut feeling was that it might be a male, the tarsi looked quite slim, but can't be sure as the camera can distort when close up! |
18:38 |
Paul & Ruth Boughton |
I also thought they looked male |
18:40 |
Zara |
The Osprey was so close to the cam tbh I really can't be sure either way lol |
18:44 |
Zara |
The Osprey yesterday and today flying over the nest, like yourself, I felt looked like a male. I would be interested to hear other chatters take on it |
18:45 |
Paul & Ruth Boughton |
Hopefully they will let us know what they think. |
18:49 |
Paul & Ruth Boughton |
I have to go out this evening. Hopefully Harry will bring another fish soon. π€π |

Vee Robson |
Good evening Patrick. I was just watching Darden on LotL. I wonder what happened to the resident female there? |
21:53 |
Zara |
Scirocco67 if you're still here, I managed to get a screen capture of the intruder this morning before it disappeared, yes I would say the underwing pattern is different to the intruder this afternoon |
21:54 |
Zara |
Good evening everyone |
21:55 |
Vee Robson |
Hi Zara, I did the same as you did and thought that they were both different intruders through underwing patterns. |
21:57 |
Zara |
Hi Vee .... yes they did look different |
21:57 |
Vee Robson |
I agree. |
21:59 |
Patrick Mc Phail |
I don't know Vee. I just know I miss NCO and Laddie LM12 dreadfully. But such is life. |
22:00 |
Vee Robson |
It is lovely to watch a nest so peaceful. I follow Glaslyn and it has been so sad this year with no chicks and a new male there. |
22:02 |
Zara |
This nest is beautiful to watch and yes Glaslyn was very sad this year |
22:02 |
Vee Robson |
NCO, and Laddie are so missed. I was devastated when Laddie was found. and not being disrespectful but NCO is the most beautiful osprey I have ever seen. |
22:06 |
Vee Robson |
Flora reminds me of Mrs G. She is a fierce protector and such a loving mother. That's why I came here. It is such a lovely nest. |
22:07 |
Zara |
I was heartbroken when Laddie passed away and so upset when NC0 disappeared, especially when LM24 returned from migration so late and then missed NCO after she left |
22:09 |
Vee Robson |
Me too. NCO, deserved some good luck. She has had it so tough for the last few years. Wherever she is I hope she has an easier time. |
22:10 |
Zara |
I hope so Vee I often wonder where she is |
22:13 |
Zara |
I hope LM24 and 210 stay together, she is very beautiful |
22:13 |
Vee Robson |
Me too. There has ben so many females on the nest and them disappeared. It has been such a mystery this year there. I hope in 2026, we may see NCO land there and make us all happy. |
22:14 |
Zara |
That would be lovely |
22:15 |
Vee Robson |
She is from Kielder. I am a fellow Geordie so I am pleased to see her have a chance of a new start. I adore LM 24, he is a keeper. |
22:16 |
Zara |
He is adorable |
22:16 |
Vee Robson |
He sure is. And very handsome. |

Alyth has always been my second nest to go to after Glaslyn. Flora is so beautiful. I also watch Dorcha and Louis they had such a hard time last year. This year thee weather has been kind to them. |
22:22 |
Zara |
Louis has done so well this year, I was worried about him last year |
22:22 |

22:24 |

Me too. His injury was like a replay of Aran with his injured wing. This year the chicks are so feisty and a joy to watch. |
22:26 |
Zara |
They are a real pleasure to watch |
22:26 |
Vee Robson |
Flora checking that all is well with her chicks before she settles down for the night. |
22:27 |

22:27 |
Vee Robson |
Indeed she is. A natural. |
22:29 |
Zara |
I was watching her the other day when it started raining and she was so determined to try to keep the chicks as dry as she could |
